GATK, in JAVA, has many good points, as an intended Framework, e.g. the map-reduce design, etc.

Something .NET Bio could learn/borrow.

Dong, thanks for the reference material. Yes we have viewed that but it's always good if you see something in particular you are focusing on. if you are suggesting new features for the project you can do so under the Issue Tracker tab. When you create the new item you list it as a feature rather than an issue. That will allow you or other community members to know what you may intend to build or what they may wish to focus on.

If you want to just voice a portion but not necessarily design the feature - just keep adding to this thread and others may join in to offer their opinions as well.

I think I have noted previously we are planning a .NET Bio 1.01 release shortly - but the scope wouldn't entail the work you outline here.

Have you been using .NET Bio in your work? Successfully?
