.NET Bio let's code together and google summer code

Hello all!

Today begins the student application period for google summer code, i'm interested in participate with .NET Bio project, I have two ideas, one related with aplications for visualization data in .NET Bio plataform and another one about analysis and improvement of .NET Bio assembly algorithms.

So, i want know if this is possible due to i don't know if outercurve foundation is a mentoring organization, also the dead line to discuss aplications with mentoring organizations is over. maybe is too late. If is so, I want to make a call for developers, I want to make a call for developers, who wants to code with me in this two ideas.

Now i'm helping to improve BLIP project, an amazing BLAST visualization tool, if you want to see more visit blip.codeplex.com and https://github.com/vforget/blip

for more information about google summer code:

Leo, did you say the deadline had passed or that it was still possible to get a sponsored project for this year?

Hi

Unfortunately, we are out of date, i talked with one of the most interesting projects in bioinformatics in google summer code (http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/org/google/gsoc2013/genomeinformatics) but now is not possible, however, i think that work together in visualization approaches will be great for the growing up of .NET Bio. i'm interested in listen the view point of the coordinators about this topic.

Cheers,

Leo
